From direction Düsseldorf / Wuppertal

From direction Wuppertal:
Motorway A 46, Exit No. 30 Haan-Ost, Solingen. Drive on right lane to traffic lights, set mileometer on zero. Go straight ahead in direction to Solingen.

  1. After 2,3 km turn right at 3rd traffic light to direction Solingen-Zentrum.
  2. At app. km 2,9 you will pass the Museum Baden on your left hand-side.
  3. At app. km 3,7 you will pass the Haribo building on your left hand-side.
  4. At the next big junction controlled by traffic lights (at app. km 4,2) keep left and follow the B 224.
  5. At app. km 5,4 keep going straight ahead but on the right lane – at the next big crossing turn right into the Kronprinzenstraße – keep driving straight ahead to direction Langenfeld.
  6. At the next big crossing (at app. km 6,6 left side supermarket) turn right into Beethovenstraße (direction Merscheid). At app. km 8,2 you will pass the "Stadtwerke Solingen" on your right side.
  7. At this crossing, controlled by traffic lights turn left into the Untengönrather Straße.
  8. Turn next right into Martinstraße.

Another tip: At the motorway exit set your mileometer on zero.

From direction Köln / Frankfurt

Motorway A 3 in direction to Oberhausen until Exit No. 20 Solingen/Wiescheid. Turn left at the traffic lights on the B 229 (direction Solingen). Set now mileometer on zero. After app. 900 m you see the hotel "Gravenberg-Lohmann" on the right side.

  1. Follow the B 229 (direction Remscheid/Solingen-Zentrum) turn right under the railway underpass (at app. km 1,8) on Landwehrstraße. After the place name sign "Solingen-Aufderhöhe" you will pass the hospital "Bethanien" on your right hand-side (app. km 2,9).
  2. At appr. km 3,4 you are leaving the B 229 and turn left into Löhdorfer Strasse (direction Merscheid/Ohligs).
  3. Follow the major road in direction Solingen-Mitte, pass the next crossing controlled by traffic lights (on the right side you see Esso gas station km 4,5). Follow the Löhdorfer Strasse straight ahead. At appr. km 5,7 you will pass the "Hanse-SB-Grossmarkt"
  4. At app. km 7,9 follow the left lane to the industrial area Scheuren on the Untengönrather Strasse.
  5. Turn next street left into Martinstraße.
